Synopsis of the Topic
Led by Dr. Erin Emery, the webinar discussed how assessing change in clinical settings is key for both patients and clinicians to determine the effectiveness of the intervention, as well as guiding treatment planning. The ideal methods and tools for assessment vary by setting and population. The webinar discussed measures, settings, and evidence-based programs to help assess client change in diverse settings.
Speaker
Dr. Emery has been assessing change in clinical and research settings for more than ten years. Her work includes examining the reliability and validity of measures with populations she works with, as well as the utility of specific measures in her own clinical practice. Dr. Emery also teaches residents and fellows in geriatric and rehabilitation psychology about appropriate measures for older adults annually, and she has presented at multiple conferences on this topic.
