The January 2015 PASRR webinar "Dementia and PASRR" occurred on Tuesday, January 13th, at 1 PM EST (10 AM PST).

The webinar was presented by Dr. Timothy Malloy, director of the Geriatric Department of Family Medicine at Nebraska Medicine.

Synopsis of the topic:

This presentation will touch on background information on dementia diagnosis and treatment as well as the interface of dementia with mental illness and intellectual disability. The presentation will also discuss when dementia warrants placement in a skilled nursing facility.

Speakers

Timothy Malloy

Dr. Malloy has 23 years of experience as the medical director in several nursing facilities. Dr. Malloy completed his medical degree through the University of Nebraska, Omaha and also completed a fellowship in geriatrics. Over the years, Dr. Malloy has acted as the medical director for nine different nursing facilities in Omaha, Nebraska. In addition to working in the field, Dr. Malloy taught as an associate professor and acted as director of the geriatrics division in the Department of Family Medicine at UNMC.
