Synopsis of the Topic:

This webinar focuses on the results of a recent study conducted by the US Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights (OCR) and identifies training opportunities for nursing facilities for proper facilitation of Section Q of the Minimum Data Set.

Speakers:

Dustin Dodson has over 25 years of experience in health care and has worked in a variety of settings across the health care continuum including acute care, post-acute and nursing home care, and inpatient and outpatient based entities. Dustin particularly enjoys working in underserved areas and has a great deal of experience working with Indian Health Services and rural areas. Dustin is seen as an early champion of person centered care and the Triple Aim of healthcare. With this broad base of experience and an education that includes an MBA with Emphasis on Health Care Administration, Dustin has an academic and a working knowledge of what works and doesn’t work within the healthcare system. Dustin a contributing author to the Long Term Care Improvement Guide and is the author of Pitfalls of the MDS: A Primer for Researchers. Dustin’s project participation includes The Community Living Advisory Group, a commission appointed by Colorado Governor Hickenlooper which is the State of Colorado’s plan for implementation of the Olmstead decision and the No Wrong Door implementation. Dustin has been a consultant and adviser for Colorado Health Care Policy and Finance, and is a PTAC Consultant, and serves an active board member of the Colorado Health Care Association.
