Partnering for Quality of Care: State PASRR Authorities and Nursing Facilities

This webinar will help attendees understand how state Medicaid/Mental Health/Intellectual Disability PASRR Authorities and Nursing Facilities can effectively partner to advance quality of care for nursing facility residents with PASRR conditions.

Speaker:
Dustin Dodson
Dustin Dodson began his healthcare career as an assistant social worker for a long-term care nursing home in Texas. Dustin continued as director of social services at a large nursing home in Colorado where he gained a working knowledge of resident-related services, including the PASRR process. He soon became a licensed nursing home administrator in New Mexico where he oversaw a tribal-based nursing home on the Navajo Indian Reservation and provided advisory services to the Indian Health Services health care system. Since 1997, he has worked as a nursing home administrator in Colorado.
In 2015, Dustin became a PTAC consultant. Through this work, he published The MDS: A Primer for Data Users. Additionally, he has conducted several webinars and has served as the CMS Region V PTAC consultant. Over his career, Dustin has also overseen the training of nursing facility and hospital case managers on the required elements of completing PASRR Level II screening tools and how to appropriately interpret the results.
