The November 2016 PASRR webinar "The Current Climate of PASRR: Trends in Quality and Person-Centered Care" occurred on Tuesday, November 15th, at 1 PM EST (10 AM PST).
The webinar was presented by Chantal K. Hunt, PhD, RN, Ellen Olsen, MBA, MSW, and Jared Nyagol, PhD (ABD).

Synopsis of the Topic:
This session aims to facilitate a basic understanding of PASRR and highlight current PASRR trends in states. The presentation will illuminate avenues where PASRR is effecting positive change at the individual and macro level. Common barriers for states will be addressed and effective strategies will be recommended. Strategies for implementing and maintaining quality in PASRR assessments will be shared, with an emphasis on person-centered care. The presentation will examine PASRR best practices from Ohio.
Speakers:
Chantal Hunt works for KEPRO, a national care management and quality improvement organization, and is the Program Director for the Ohio PASRR Level II Evaluation program. She is responsible for the administrative leadership of the program, provides clinical oversight for Assessors, and serves as the program’s Clinical and Quality Manager. Chantal's additional professional experience is in case, disease, and utilization management for both public and private health plans. She was the director of Ohio’s inpatient mental health UR program for four years. Chantal's Master’s level nursing concentration is in psychiatric-mental health nursing.
Ellen Olsen works for KEPRO, a national care management and quality improvement organization, and is the Program Director for the Florida PASRR Level II Evaluation program. Ellen has worked in the behavioral health field for eighteen years and seven of those years have been in the PASRR field. She works very closely with each of the Florida state agencies to support the successful implementation of PASRR and became an active member of the Florida State PASRR Workgroup in 2008.
Jared Nyagol works for KEPRO, a national care management and quality improvement organization, and is the Executive Director for the California PASRR Level II Evaluation program. Jared provides leadership to KEPRO's overall California PASRR Level II assessment, review, recommendation and submission to California Department of Health Care Services. He is also involved in the quality improvement processes related to PASRR.
